- Tier 0 : Battlegear of Valor

The Battlegear of Valor is the Tier 0 Warrior set. With an edge in strength and stamina it is meant solely for Warriors, and the other Plate-wearing class - the Paladin - will probably prefer their own set, even for tanking. Patch 1.10 increased the strength and set bonuses of the Battlegear of Valor, and introduced the Tier 0.5 improvement quest chain, which ends with the Battlegear of Heroism Set, providing some very handy +defense.

This robust armor was forged by dwarven master smiths deep in the bowels of Ironforge. The armor was crafted from the finest metals as a token of thanks for the Alliance's aid during the Second War and is worn by the Alliance's most highly exalted champions. Articulated plates are form-fitted to the wearer, and affixed to tightly woven chainmail undergarments. Every piece is accented with gold etchings, studs, and flares.

- Tier 0.5 : Battle Gear of Heroism

The Battlegear of Heroism is the warrior Dungeon Set 2/Tier 0.5 armor set. It is obtained by upgrading the Warrior Dungeon Set 1/Tier 0 (Battlegear of Valor) items through a series of solo & group quests.

- Tier 1 : Battlegear of Might

The Battlegear of Might is the Warrior Tier 1 Armor Set. Tier 1 armor drops in the Molten Core, a 40-man raid instance. The set's various bonuses (high Stamina, bonus to Block, bonus to Parry, bonus to Defense) will help a warrior to be a better tank.

- Tier 2 : Battlegear of Wrath

The Battlegear of Wrath is the Warrior Tier 2 Armor Set. Tier 2 armor drops from the various bosses inside the Blackwing Lair 40-man raid instance, with the exception of 2 pieces, which drop from Ragnaros and Onyxia. This set's various bonuses (high Stamina, bonus to Block, Parry, Dodge, and Defense) will help a warrior to be a better tank.

- Tier 3 : ??

Epic quality Set items. These items are found inside Naxxramas and were introduced in Patch 1.11.

Unlike previous "tiered" sets, these Tier 3 sets are nine piece, with a ring rounding out the set. However, the maximum set bonus is still conferred at 8 pieces - leaving players some freedom to mix and match gear.

Tier 3 also differs from Tier 2 and Tier 1 sets in the way they are obtained. Tier 3 items will be obtained through quests, in much the same way as Temple of Ahn'Qiraj Quest Loot. These quests require 1 epic drop (which is used by multiple classes) and some common trade skill goods.

- Tier 4 : Warbringer Armour

Tier 4 Warrior Armor are the first sets of warrior specific armor available in the Burning Crusade. Tier 4 brings a change to armor sets due to the fact that there can be multiple sets for a single class.

- Tier 5 : Destroyer Armour

Destroyer Armor is the name of the Tier 5 warrior specific armor available in the Burning Crusade. This tier is similar to Tier 4 as there can be multiple sets for a single class.

- Tier 6 : Onslaught Armour

Tier 6 warrior armor is collectively known as Onslaught Armor and usable at level 70. Two sets are available:

        * Onslaught Battlegear (Arms/Fury)
        * Onslaught Armor (Protection)
